Donna Reed is a central New York-based mixed media artist who began making art shortly after she started walking, under the guidance of her father, an accomplished artist and architect. A principal theme in Donna’s work has always centered on the natural world she grew up exploring, and she finds that acrylic and clay relief give her the freedom to breathe three-dimensional life into her unique and often whimsical interpretations. Donna works to create an immersive experience through her full-scale murals and has turned walls into forests and ceilings into wide-open skies. A recent series of paintings features the flora and fauna of her Oneida Lake home, and her newest project reimagines the covers of favorite and found books in 3D clay relief.
